In Curaçao, Butterfly will carry out surveys of flower-visiting insects, bats and birds on a limited number of plant species in collaboration with Carmabi. Only a small amount of previous work has been done on the diversity and importance of pollinators in the Dutch Caribbean. Producing an inventory of existing data and collection of additional data, will add significantly to our understanding of the ecology of plant-pollinator interactions and threats to their conservation.
